On the occasion of the construction of the Ourense-Santiago High Speed Railway segment, Arenas & Asociados participated in the project of three large infrastructures as an independent checker.
Deza Viaduct
To cross the valley of the river Deza, a 1175 m long viaduct is built divided into 18 spans with the following distribution: 42.50 + 60.0 + 70.0 + 60.0 + 7x58.0 + 2x75.0 + 2x 70.0+ + 2x60.0 + 42.50 m and saving a slope of 96m. The deck is a continuous post-tensioned concrete box girder of with a constant depth of 4.50 m and a total width of 14m. The bridge launching method was used in its construction.
Saramo Viaduct.
In its passage through the valley of the Saramo river a viaduct of 1,485 m length is projected. The 26 spans that integrate the bridge have the following distribution: 46.40 + 24x58.0 + 46.40 m. The maximum heigh of the piles is 70,0m. The deck is a continuous post-tensioned concrete box girder with variable depth from 4.85 to 3.25 m and a total width of 14m. The movable Scaffolding System was used in its construction.
O Eixo Viaduct
To cross the valley of the Santa Lucia river, a viaduct of 1,224 m in length is projected divided into 25 spans, the 23 central spans of 50.0 m and the two ends of 42.5 and 31.9 m. The prestressed concrete box-type variable-depth deck has a width of 14.0 m. The movable Scaffolding System was used in its construction.
